{"id":89,"date":"2005-03-04T12:44:00","date_gmt":"2005-03-04T19:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ourthoughts.ca\/?p=89"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T07:00:00","slug":"four-rcmp-officers-killed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ourthoughts.ca\/2005\/03\/04\/four-rcmp-officers-killed\/","title":{"rendered":"Four RCMP Officers Killed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p>Four young RCMP officers were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/national\/story.html?id=c1762e48-1eae-498a-bc70-7ceef76e9cee\">shot and killed<\/a> this week after trying to stake out a marijuana growing operation on a farm north of Edmonton.<\/p>\n<p>Not since law enforcement officials tried to exterminate the M?\u00c9\u00ac\u00a9tis people in 1885 has this many offices been killed in the line of duty in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>This is a sad day indeed.<\/p>\n<p>While I am not advocating the criminilisation or the decriminalisation of marijuana, certainly some will point out that had marijuana not been illegal, these four officers would be alive today.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both;
