picked up by the AP from the LA Times regarding <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ourthoughts.ca\/2004\/07\/30\/dna-lamanites-and-book-of-mormon\/\">DNA and the Book of Mormon<\/a>, a discussion ensued at work yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>I expressed gratitude for the story and its proliferation among media outlets and my hope that it may convince Mormons to stop treating tradition as doctrine, particularly the belief that indigenous peoples of the Americas are all <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ourthoughts.ca\/2005\/07\/21\/simon-southerton-promoting-book-again\/\">Lehitic descendants<\/a> (literally, Lamanites).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Because of some &#8220;anti-Mormon literature&#8221;
