Jospeh Smith had this to say of himself:<\/p>\n

“I am like a huge, rough stone rolling down from a high mountain; and the only polishing I get is when some corner gets rubbed off by coming in contact with something else . . . all hell knocking off a corner here and a corner there. Thus I will become a smooth and polished shaft in the quiver of the Almighty” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 304).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Seems to be quite similar to Isaiah 49:2:<\/p>\n

“And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
