It seemed a bit odd to me, but the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lds.org\/scriptures\/bd\/comforter?lang=eng&amp;letter=c\">Bible Dictionary supports this idea<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It seems at odds with a couple of other scriptures. Consider John 14:16:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If the first comforter is the Holy Ghost, why does Jesus refer to him as\u00a0<em>another<\/em> comforter?\u00a0<em>Another<\/em> implies that a comforter already existed.<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>How do we reconcile this apparent discrepancy?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During elders quorum today, the instructor commented that Jesus is the Second Comforter.
