Two days ago, I was called into the office of the chief operations officer where I work and was told I was being laid off. Last time I was laid off, I received 7 months worth of severance pay, which cushioned the blow. This time, I get no severance pay, but I have two weeks of work left.<\/p>\n
Needless to say, it is stressful in our home.<\/p>\n
Then that night, while reading D&C 24 as part of our companionship study, Mary and I came across verse 8:<\/p>\n
Be patient in afflictions, for thou shalt have many; but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of thy days.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
It sure seemed timely and was a good reminder. Still looking for a job though. :)<\/p>\n
