So, I was in Gospel Doctrine class on Sunday and the scripture D&C 101:24 was read:<\/p>\n
And every corruptible thing, both of man, or of the beasts of the field, or of the fowls of the heavens, or of the fish of the sea, that dwells upon all the face of the earth, shall be consumed;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
When asked by the instructor for an interpretation, someone said it meant all the wicked would be burned.<\/p>\n
I shot up my hand and clarified that corruptible does not mean wicked and one can be consumed without being burned. Corruptible means able to be corrupted (spiritually and\/or physically). One could have the potential of being corrupted without actually becoming corrupted. In addition, the scriptures have examples of persons consumed by fire who were never burned (Shedrach, Meshach, Abednego, Lehi, Nephi, etc).<\/p>\n
