While reading tonight about Lehi’s vision of the Tree of Life, something caught my eye. In 1 Ne. 8:12, it says that the fruit of the tree of life is the most desirable of all other fruit. 1 Ne. 15:36 says this fruit is the greatest gift of God. D&C 14:7 says the greatest gift of God is eternal life. We see then that the fruit of the tree of life is eternal life.<\/p>\n
Likewise, in 1 Ne 11:22, we read the tree of life is actually the love of God. Therefore, eternal life is a fruit of the love of God. In fact, as Lehi states, it is the most desirable of all other fruit.<\/p>\n
This is a roundabout way to get to the thing that piqued my curiosity.<\/p>\n
Do you think that eternal life is the only fruit of God’s love? Are there other manifestations of his love in our lives? Or are these manifestations fruits of some other of God’s characteristics?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
