Conformity.
Gender roles and expectations.
Diversity.
Imagination.
Creativity.
Social pressure is a powerful force. I envy young children who are not yet quite aware of what others think of them. It is a pleasure to see the joy in children uninhibited, living in the moment and truly enjoying life. It is sad we lose that so soon. We lose so much when we all conform to the same mold.
Hopefully as you get older you are rediscovering your inner story teller.
