I never said the children of Israel weren’t commanded to keep the law of tithing. Obviously the tithes mentioned in Malachi 3 came from somewhere.

So, I think our traditional understanding of Malachi is pretty correct.

Perhaps. In 3 Nephi 24, Jesus is speaking just to his disciples, rather than the entire multitude.
