The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles recently approved changes in the policies regarding length of senior missionary service and missionary housing to encourage more couples to serve full-time missions and to improve their missionary experience.

Interesting article. As the economy and retirement benefits are diminished, I wondered what the Church might consider doing. I would guess that an increasing number of senior couples are finding that a mission is “not in the cards” anymore.
It is nice to know that during the senior years there are still many individuals who instead of retiring use their time for a good cause, being a missionary. I personally applaud and appreciate this individuals.
