They feel that the Provo temple is, in a sense, too “big,” with the university plus the MTC plus the community surrounding it, to have that small-town feel.

My wife and I are living in Detroit, and they have the smaller temple as well. She loves the quaint feel of it, and I think Payson will have that same effect.

I agree. I really like how nearby communities claim ownership on these temples as well.

I think that it build a sense of ownwership when it comes to temples.
