I attended the temple last night. It was one of the most powerful experiences I have had at the temple, but that’s for another time.
One of the boys I taught?¢‚Ǩ‚Äùwhen I was in the Young Men programme and over the deacons?¢‚Ǩ‚Äùtook out his endowments yesterday. He asked me to come along. Of course I was more than happy to.
It was a small session for the last one of the day. Then again, it wasn’t a Friday, and it’s usually the Friday ones we attend. they are always full.
Other than his parents, I was the only one there from our ward. They didn’t advertise it or anything, so it wasn’t that surprising.
A couple from our old ward was there. They are friends of the family.
Because I sat at the back, I was able to watch my deacon during his participation in the ceremony. It was interesting. He seem fascinated by it all.
At the end, when we were all standing in the Celestial Room, it was neat to observe someone experincing the room for the first time. He said he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I am glad I went. I hope I can attend when my other deacons go.
Taht is a great feeling. From my one time in Primary I taught the class of just baptized 8 year olds, all five were girls. They are now all seniors in High School – I am getting old.
Yeah, my CTR B (now CTR 8) class are in their mid 20s now. Some of them have children.
