There have been times in the history of mankind where the children seldom saw their fathers. In fact, they would have described an over-exposure to one’s father as unnatural.

The point is that once we become enlightened, there is no way back into that mindset. I don’t believe the presence of an extra uterus, or complete lack thereof, is going to have an appreciable difference in the development of a child of loving parents. I would suspect quite the opposite. Same-sex couples often overcompensate for the lack of the other sex by going out of their way to encourage traits generally associated with that sex.

For a child in foster care, I would suspect a stable home where they can feel safe is much more important than the sleeping arrangements in the master bedroom.

Not necessarily, though. But I would hate for a child to have been adopted by a gay couple when, if they had waited a few more months, they may have been adopted by a straight couple.

But I still see the other side of the issue. Foster homes are not the best enviroment for a child to grow up in (sometimes they’re the worst), and sometimes perhaps a loving gay couple would be a welcome alternative.

But I still do not think that having two mothers or having two fathers can compare to having one of each.

That said, I feel sorry for the kid who is denied either a father or mother, and has to grow up in such an unnatural enviroment.

That additional stability may encourage married gay couples to consider adoption.
