Melissa over at Melissa’s Place has tagged me to write a post on ?¢‚Ǩ?ì8 things about me?¢‚Ǩ¬ù.
The Rules:
?¢‚Ǩ?ìEach person posts the rules before their list, then they list 8 things about themselves. At the end of the post, that person tags and links to 8 other people and then visits those peoples?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ sites and comments letting them know that they have been tagged, and to come read the post, so they know what they have to do.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù
8 Things About Me
- I am a singer. A trained one as well. However, the most singing I do lately is in church and to my children. When I feel like really letting out I sing to Loreena McKennitt, Sin?ɬ©ad O’Connor and U2. Sometimes my own music as well, written long ago.
- I was married to the greatest man in the world 12 years ago (plus some, since it’s July).
- I have a deep, strong, abiding testimony of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I don’t share it often enough, but it is there.
- I am a Nutritional Consultant, trained and certified and registered
- I have PCOS
- I want many children. No number really. But I am not holding my breath. I am happy with the ones I have already.
- I lived in Ireland (Dublin to be exact) in 1990.
- I love to run. I hated it as a child, but found a great desire and love for it, as an adult.
I will tag:
- Mum at Charity Never Faileth
- Nikki at Isn’t this kind of personal?
- Jen at My Serendiptious Life
- Jessica at The Gibbon Family
- Carmen at La Dolce Vita
- Rob (my brother) at LibTech Life
Ok yeah I know I am supposed to do two more, but I can’t find the urls and I have to get off this computer before it fries. The fan is out and we are awaiting a new arrival hopefully tomorrow.
Thanks for doing this! My brother in law is graduating this month as a nutritionist.
I”m still wondering how one gets to “loves to run.”
lol…you just do…at least, well, I do. I love the feeling of it and especially how I feel afterwards. What really feels good is running harder. Really!
Melissa
Oh good luck to your brother! I love counseling people in nutrition (not that I have done it in an official manner as of yet, but pretty much informally)
The learning to run thing, I think, has a lot in common with other crazy self-abusive activities like smoking and eating disorders – it’s all about an endorphin release. What feels good is not always good for you…
…although runners want to claim some sort of peripheral ‘health benefit’ for some reason. ;)
Running is great for me.
Yes, a terrific health benefit. It helped me lose 126 lbs, but that’s not why I run, I run to become stronger, faster and accomplish goals. Yes, I love it. Lots and lots.
People who diss it are just jealous.
I’ve tried running.
I hate it soooooo much.
I’m afraid that I can’t take long periods of boredom, maybe I’m a bit ADD or something. Running is painfully unstimulating for me. Over and above the fact that I’m getting exercise, it does nothing for me.
I need to be doing a sport or group activity to enjoy myself. I love soccer, and have no problems with running for a reason. Goodness knows I could use the exercise, though.
oh it’s different for everyone. I love my running time to think. Do you play on a soccer team? Our son is rapidly becoming a soccer fanatic, lol
I wish I had the time. I played in an ad hoc game every Wednesday two years ago (during the summer months), and I loved every minute of it. If we move to Lethbridge, I may join the adult indoor rec league.
I can vouch for that, having seen rick.
Ouch! That really hurts. Right here where my heart would be if I didn’t have a blackened mass of hatred in lieu of. =)
I blame the Canadian climate and lifestyle for my current weight. When I lived in Australia I was considerably more healthy and I certainly didn’t put any more effort into it.
…or maybe it’s just my desk job.
or your age and slowing metabolism
I blame Utah cuisine for mine.
