  1. One way to look at this is that it’s outrageous for the government not to give the girl an education. Another way to look at it is that private citizens are apparently quite able and willing to provide the funding for her education, so the government shouldn’t have to. Interesting.

  2. This is a case of someone not following an established protocol.

    All she had to do before moving was register her independence from her parents…then enroll at a community college instead of a high school.

    Either you’re a minor or not – nobody gets to ride the fence.

  3. When I was in Quebec 1986-87, I liked the CEGEP system there. It seemed to give young people a more solid foundation for life of one kind or another after high school.
