I have read that saying "Oh, man" is actually calling on all of mankind as a witness to what you are referring to and not an appeal to God.

If you were exclaiming, “Oh, Man of Holiness!” or “Oh, Man of Counsel!” then I’d have a problem. By saying, “Oh, man!” it seems to me you’re identifying a different subject.

If one wanted to take the whole son/man concept even further, one could claim “Oh, brother!” and “Oh, boy!” fall under this commandment as well.
