The fact that animals are included in the list is an indication that it does not mean wicked.

I also agree that being “consumed” definitely does not mean destroyed in this verse.

So you are right, as usual. However, could it also mean consumed physically but not destroyed spiritually, such as those witnessed by Alma and Abinadi?
